Meet Nancy, a CareStar of Indiana case manager who has been serving the central and northwest regions of Indiana for the past two years. Nancy enjoys being a case manager because it allows her to be involved and serve as an advocate for her clients and those in need.
Nancy has always wanted to help people and finds her job as a case manager is the most rewarding career of her life. During her time at CareStar, Nancy has used compassion and patience to make a difference in the lives of her clients. Outside of her career, Nancy enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, especially her two daughters.

Bonita Chilton
Meet  Bonita, a CareStar of Indiana case manager who has been serving Eastern Indiana for 19 years. Bonita says her time as a case manager has been great and rewarding. The happiness and relief her clients feel after their issues have been resolved keeps Bonita motivated to continue making a difference in individuals' lives.
Bonita began her journey as a case manager by advocating rights for her son, who was born with a rare genetic disorder. She worked for the Indiana Bureau of Developmental Disabilities as a service coordinator before Medical Waivers were available in Indiana. She remembers being excited about the waiver program because of the services it offered. Bonita has also served as a mentor for new case managers in Indiana.
Bonita puts her clients and their families at ease by building relationships with them to help resolve their issues. Outside of her career, Bonita enjoys spending time with her family. She is also a dedicated activist for animal rights and environmental issues.

Jennifer Kirk
 Meet Jennifer, a CareStar of Indiana case manager who has been serving the southwest region of Indiana for the past two years. Jennifer is committed to helping her clients and their families become more independent, providing them with the appropriate support they need to succeed.
Jennifer's older sister, who has a disability, has provided her with the inspiration to assist other and make positive changes in their lives. During her time at CareStar, Jennifer has used compassion and patience to help her clients succeed and gain independence. Outside of her career, Jennifer enjoys knitting, and playing tennis and softball. If she could be any super hero, she would be Wonder Woman.

Melissa Thomas
 Meet Melissa, a CareStar of Indiana case manager who has served the growing areas of North and Northwestern Indiana for the past year. Melissa has an extensive case management background working with aged-and-disabled individuals, emotionally disturbed children, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Melissa has been involved in case management while working with these individuals for nearly 20 years!
Melissa’s favorite part of being a case manager is getting to know and build relations with families to help them resolve their issues. Outside of her career, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She proudly coaches her daughter’s youth softball team, and enjoys cheering on her son as he plays baseball and participates in the track and field team.

Stephanie Grow
 Meet Stephanie Grow, a CareStar of Indiana care coordinator who has served Indianapolis and Columbus, Indiana for over 2 years. Stephanie utilizes her experience and dedication to help families work through their challenging Medicaid issues. She has been employed as a healthcare professional since 2004, and she previously spent 10 years volunteering for Muskatatuck State Dev. Center.
Stephanie's favorite part of being a case manager is visiting face-to-face with clients and providers, and seeing relief in the families when their stressful situations are resolved. Outside her career, Stephanie's hobbies include taking pictures, making elaborate cakes, planning parties, painting, sculpting, playing with animals, learning to play piano and swimming.

 Meet Laurie Butts, a CareStar of Indiana care coordinator who has served Northeast Indiana for over 25 years. Laurie is committed to helping her clients and their families experience a more positive life together through Indiana's various supports and services.
Laurie enjoys making life more fulfilling for the people she serves by using community contacts to secure free services or items not covered by waivers. She loves watching these people grow as individuals through her personal relationships with them and their family members.
Outside her career, Laurie's hobbies include taking photographs of nature, fishing, gardening and raising Monarch butterflies. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of butterflies with others in hopes that they will also join in her passion for raising them.
